Prague Castle


Prague Castle is the official office of the country's President. It was the home of kings and it was built in the 9th century. It is the largest ancient castle in the world.
Its construction started in 870BC and it was completed in 1929. In 1541, a big fire destroyed large parts of it.
It covers an area of 70,000m2. It is 570m long and 130m wide. There is a hidden room where they keep the Crown Jewels. There are also many palaces, halls, gardens and towers. There is also a monastery and St Vitus Cathedral.
